I started taking pictures with a Brownie camera when I was kid. I come from a long line of "picture takers"; actually they were photo journalists as they recorded births and deaths, reunions and time in college and the World Wars. I have a treasure of photos from my family on both parents' sides that ground me, help me understand where I came from and help me know who I am. I have my Mom's father's cameras as well as my Dad's mother's cameras on display in my office to remind me that time passes and the only way we can connect to the past is to record the present. As I lived my life, I took pictures of trips, and daily life, and family time with my three kids. Now I can take pictures of my grandchildren and preserve those memories for my kids. Some of the pictures on this site are my grand kids and I treasure the time I have with them more each day. I want them to know who I am and I think I share that with them through photographs.

I live in Colorado, just southwest of Denver. What an amazing state! It is so beautiful and diverse. From the plains to the mountains, sand dunes to rivers through mountain passes. Truly spectacular. Every day I thank my lucky stars that I live here and can photograph the beauty around me. I love taking photographic journeys throughout the west and into Canada and Alaska. Many of my landscape photos are from these trips. Many more trips to come and record the beauty of our world around us.
